Hoop Dance

Hoop Dance is a very cool Mi'kmaw dance. You go through the hoop in all kinds of ways. My teacher is Danny Paul. I've been a hoop dancer for one year already, I like to dance a lot.

I've danced in Richmond, Port Hawkesbury twice, and in Truro. I wear special regalia made by Rose Prosper. You can't touch it very much, you have to ask first. I wear a vest, necklace, a pouch, and a hoop with a long piece of leather. My dad and my brother, and all kinds of people like to see me dance. I love my family.
