 September 2000 Contest Entry
Role Models

My Daughter

My role model is my daughter, she really make me happy.

She is three years old and into everything. About three months ago she started getting up on chairs and now she gets on the table. She has blonde hair and blue eyes, she's tall and skinny. I really enjoy having her around because she makes me laugh no matter how mad I am and if she gets into trouble, she'll always find a way to get out of it. She really likes to get in the tub but when it's time to get out she always kicks up a fuss and she hates to get her hair washed. The most frustrating time is when its time to go to bed because at night when she knows she's getting tired she starts to act up. She'll bug everybody that's in her sight.

She influenced my life by letting me know that I could have a baby. She has helped me slow down in life and learn to take on responsibilitiees. I went back to school because of her so I can graduate and get a job to support her. I have stopped going out around with my friends and settled down with a guy, so I'll have a family for my daughter.

She needs a dad in her life. She needs to grow up and have a role model in her life.  Someone to lead her through. I don't want her to grow up and be like me, I want her to have a good life.
