 September 2000 Contest Entry
Role Models

My role model is my father. My fatherís name is David McDonald. My father is my role model because he taught me to be strong and to never let anyone put me down. He has accomplished a lot in his life and I would like to do the same. My father is the chief pilot of our community and he is only 31 years old. When he went to school to be a pilot, he was only 16-17 years old. He has taught me to drive a quad, fix chains on a bike, cut wood to make kindlingís, and how to be polite. My father basically taught me most of the things I know.  One of the things I like the most of the things he has taught me is to never give up in school and always try my best, no matter what. I love my father- forever and always.
